Why I'm Impressed….

ATN has captured my attention for a number of reasons. Some coyotes near my property killed and savaged my family's 11 year old dog. My neighbour also had the unfortunate mispleasure of losing a cat to the same pack of hungry coyotes.

My problem was that coyotes only come out at night. So although I tried my darndest, I couldn't see a thing. 

… I found this night vision rifle scope on amazon and the price was right. At a local gun shop, a night vision scope was retailing at a little over a thousand dollars. Which I really did not want to pay.

But for 400 bucks, it was more than worth it. 

The nice thing about this scope is the quality of the lens and illuminator. Even in bad weather conditions  (like fog or rainy weather) I am able to pick out animals at a decent.

I was also pleasantly surprised by the detail of objects fairly long distances away. Anything within 75-100 yards doesn't stand a chance. 

The scope weighs about 3 pounds, so do expect a little added weight difference. Nothing too serious once you get used to it.

So the risk of picking this scope out is fairly minimal.

Overall, it's been a very worthwhile investment for me and my family. I snagged a couple of coyotes thanks to the scope's flawless accuracy, and since then the entire pack has left our neighbourhood.
